Adobe Training Curriculum
Please note: Each class is unique, and we do not guarantee that all topics mentioned on our course outlines will be covered in every class. It's our philosophy that to a large degree, participants get maximum value from a class when they are well prepared for the experience, and have access to the software they were instructed on in order to practice post-training. Participants are encouraged to communicate their primary objectives on our pre-class questionnaire. We do not guarantee that all objectives on the questionnaire will be covered, and refunds are not available if a particular objective is not met. Please view our retake policy on our FAQ page.
Please note: Not all classes listed on this pager are currently available as publicly scheduled classes. Please refer to our Course Schedule page for a list of what classes are currently availble for enrollment at our Princeton NJ training center.

Understand the Acrobat interface and learn to create and navigate PDF documents using menu commands and contextual menus. Learn to create PDF documents from host applications or from Acrobat, and learn how to work with and organize PDF files, including annotating, editing, and adding interactive features, integrating images, and OCR. Learn to use comment and drawing markups. Convert Microsoft Office and AutoCAD files into PDF documents. Integrate Acrobat with Web browsers and rich media. Learn how to make documents secure, and more.
Prerequisites: This is an introductory-to-intermediate class for students that: 1) have never used the software, or 2) students that have some limited experience with the software but are not comfortable using it, or 3) students that use the software but don't understand why what they do is or isn't working and want the benefit of an Adobe Certified Instructor to clarify and build a solid foundation of understanding. Because of the amount of material we cover in class, we do require students to be comfortable using a mouse, opening and saving files, and the general operations of computers. While we will make every reasonable effort to help, students with insufficient skills may be required to observe the class lessons or do their best to keep up without slowing down the rest of the class. We highly recommend working with the application tutorial before coming to the course.
Here is an outline of what you can expect to learn in your 2 day Acrobat Training. This is subject to change depending on student needs and goals, and the 2 day training goals will be discussed on the first morning (and via your pre-training questionnaire). For Training dates and to sign up, click here, or on the "View Classes and Enroll" tab above. Topics include the following:
- How to Use the Acrobat Interface and Basic Navigation

Even if you are already familiar with Photoshop, you will benefit greatly from this ground-up comprehensive training. Taught by Steve Weinrebe, Adobe Certified Instructor, and Author (Adobe Photoshop & the Art of Photography, Cengage-Learning), you will receive not only an in-depth training in Photoshop, but also valuable work-flow tips and tricks. Courseware is provided, and a certificate is given to each student on completion.

Flash CS4/CS5: ActionScript (Flash II) - 3 Day Class ($1395)
Course Description
(Note: This class is taught with Flash CS4/CS5. Flash CS4/CS5 is considerably different from Flash CS3 and so the class will best suit students that have Flash CS4/CS5 or plan to upgrade to Flash CS4/CS5.)
Flash CS4/CS5 ActionScript 3 offers significant leaps over its predecessor, ActionScript 2. With the new version of ActionScript, developers will find a faster runtime environment, better debugging, a consistent method for handling events, and an improved framework of classes for development.
In this course we will explore best practices when developing rich Flash applications, review important concepts such as syntax, object oriented programming, animating with ActionScript, and controlling objects using the keyboard.
We will also take a detailed look at several classes in the ActionScript 3 class library. Each of these classes will allow us to quickly add rich and robust functionality to our Flash applications. Once you complete the class you’ll have a strong understanding of ActionScript 3 and develop a Flash version of the popular game Asteroids.
Performance-Based Objectives
After completing this course, you should be able to:
Create variables
Manipulate Symbols
Organize your code using Object Oriented paradigms
Manipulate the Flash Document Object Model
Write event handlers that react to keyboard and mouse movement
Enhance your applications through the use of ActionScript class libraries
Read and parse XML

Knowledge of shutter speed and f:stop would be helpful but are not required as we will be discussing those issues at length during the course.

Wherever possible the course is customized to the students particular goals, and the curriculum will vary. Through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on work, students learn the tools to fulfill their photography needs, and advance their skills and careers.
