What's in the area? If you are coming for a two or three day class and have some evening time to explore, you will find the Princeton area has much to offer - all quite close to our classroom!

For Mall goers there is the enormous Oxford Valley Mall, about 2 miles South on Route 1 (on the Northbound side).
Along the Southbound side of Route 1, after exiting directly from the Overlook Center onto Route 1, there are several smaller shopping centers including a Whole Foods.
The closest Mall is the Market Fair, where there is a 10 screen movie theater (the UA Market Fair), a Barnes & Noble, Eastern Mountain Sports, and many other stores and many restaurants too. Market Fair is the most convenient for right after class because you can access it from Canal Pointe Blvd. heading South (away from Alexander Rd.) and it is an easy few minute drive, as opposed to rush hour on Route 1. Heading South on Canal Pointe Blvd. the entrance to Market Fair is on the left.
4 miles North on Route 1 is Forrestal Village, a mixed use mall, hotel, and conference center. There is a Wyndham Hotel located at Forrestal Village.
If you want the charm of an historic and well known college town center, visit downtown Princeton. There are many shops and restaurants along Nassau St. and it makes for some pleasant window shopping. When you reach Nassau St. from Washington, directly across the street is the Triumph Brewing Company at 138 Nassau St. Getting there is simple: exit to Canal Pointe Blvd. and turn right, then turn right again at Alexander Rd. Immediately get in the left lane and exit to Route 1 North. Then stay in the right lane and turn right at the next light into the Washington Rd. jughandle in order to turn left onto Washington Rd. (in the jughandle, get in the right lane to go straight on Washington Rd.). Follow Washington Rd. a few miles through the Princeton campus until the road ends at Nassau St. Look for on street parking (have some quarters to feed the meters till 7PM).
When in downtown Princeton, head fo the south side of Palmer Square for the best ice cream in the tri-state area at Bent Spoon ice cream shop. (From one of our students.)
